About Friends of Jesus Stories
Friends of Jesus Stories is a collection of gentle, faith-filled stories that helps children discover friendship with Jesus and learn how His friendship can shape the way they live and love others.
Through ordinary childhood experiences—quiet moments, friendships, loneliness, kindness, courage, forgiveness, and belonging—young readers encounter Jesus not only as someone they learn about, but as a Friend who knows them, calls them by name, walks with them, and teaches them how to become a friend to others.
The series unfolds in two stages:
Books 1–4: Discovering Friendship with Jesus
For ages 7–10, these stories invite children to discover that Jesus knows them personally, welcomes their prayers, draws them closer to Himself, and teaches them to see others with love.
Books 5–8: Learning to Be a Friend Like Jesus
For ages 11–14, the stories explore the challenges of friendship more deeply and invite young readers to practice compassion, courage, forgiveness, inclusion, and self-giving love in everyday life.
Rooted gently in Scripture without becoming a textbook, each story allows faith to emerge naturally through the experiences of its characters.
At the heart of the series is one simple journey:
First, we discover what it means to be a friend of Jesus.
Then, we learn what it means to be a friend like Jesus.
Be a friend of Jesus, and a friend to all His friends!
Our Ministry Framework
Rooted in prayer, Scripture, the sacraments, and trust in God, we seek to help people grow in holiness through a personal friendship with Jesus Christ.
This mission is expressed through two complementary ministries:
Friends of Jesus Community
A community of prayer, spiritual friendship, formation, and fellowship that helps people walk together on the path to holiness.
Friends of Jesus Press
A publishing ministry that creates prayerbooks, devotionals, journals, and formation resources to accompany people on their journey with Christ.
Together, these complementary ministries seek to fulfill one mission:
Helping people encounter Jesus as their truest Friend and grow in holiness through prayer, Scripture, spiritual friendship, and Catholic devotional formation.
